Description
The PVC warning tactile tile is a special path surface that warns people with visual impairments about a hazard or a place requiring attention. The orderly arranged cone-shaped studs (domes) on the tile surface are clearly felt underfoot or through a cane and give the person a "stop, be careful" signal. Unlike tiles with guiding stripes, this tile signals not continuation of movement but the need for caution.
Such warning tiles are installed in the following places: the top and bottom of stairs, before a pedestrian crossing, the edge of a platform, in front of a door, at turning points where the direction changes, and before any obstacle or hazardous zone.
The product is made of high-quality PVC (polyvinyl chloride). It is resistant to moisture, mechanical abrasion, temperature differences and ultraviolet light — keeping its colour and shape for a long time. The bright yellow colour creates a strong visual contrast for partially sighted people and marks the hazardous zone even from a distance.
Size: 300×300 mm (30×30 cm). 500×500 mm is also available on request. The tile is suitable for indoor spaces — schools, hospitals, government offices, shopping centres, metro and stations — as well as covered walkways.
Installation is simple: the tile is glued to a flat, clean surface with a special polymer adhesive. The height and layout of the cones comply with the standards and are clearly felt by both foot and cane. The surface is non-slip, so it is safe even when wet.
The product is manufactured in accordance with the requirements for tactile ground surface indicators (compliant with GOST R 52875 / O'z DSt) and meets the standards for adapting the urban environment for people with disabilities.
The warning tile is one of the most important elements of an inclusive environment. It warns people of potential danger in advance and makes your facility safe for everyone. It is often installed together with the guiding tile as a single system.
