Description

The tactile indicator (round, warning) is a stud sign installed in the floor to warn pedestrians with visual impairments in advance about hazardous or attention-requiring places. In the centre of the indicator is a grid of non-slip cone-shaped (pyramidal) studs — a person feels them underfoot or with a cane (white stick) and understands that they must stop and be careful.

The product is made of stainless steel, so it is corrosion-resistant, strong and suitable for high-footfall places. It lasts a long time both indoors and outdoors, withstanding rain and cold. The round outer surface is smooth, while the central part has a relief texture, which makes the contrast easier to feel.

The indicator mounts easily into the floor: a hole is drilled at the required spot, and the indicator is fixed with a lower pin (anchor) and adhesive — it barely protrudes above the surface, so it does not create obstacles for other pedestrians, wheelchairs or during cleaning.

Warning tactile indicators are installed in the following places: the beginning and end of stairs and ramps, before a pedestrian crossing, the edge of a platform, a building entrance, in front of a lift and at other potentially hazardous points. Together with guiding (strip/bar) tactile indicators they often form a complete tactile navigation system.

The product is manufactured in accordance with the standards for adapting the environment for people with disabilities (compliant with the tactile indicator requirements of GOST R 52875 / O'z DSt). Such indicators are often a mandatory requirement for government, educational, medical and transport facilities.

The round tactile indicator is a small but very important element that makes your facility safe and understandable for people with visual impairments. It ensures independent and safe movement.
