Description

Mnemonic map (tactile + Braille building plan) — a panel providing indoor wayfinding for the blind and partially sighted. The building plan (top view) is presented together with relief symbols + Braille + colour zones.

Standard contents:

  • Building plan — top view, rooms and corridors
  • «You are here» marker (relief dot + Braille)
  • Room number and name — text + Braille
  • Symbols: ramp, lift, toilet, stairs, entrance, exit
  • Legend — on the left edge, duplicated in Braille
  • Colour zoning — by safety and function

The panel is made of PVC (alternatively: acrylic, aluminium composite). Technology: relief printing + UV-resistant ink + Braille punctuation.

The product is developed taking into account the requirements for adapting the environment for people with disabilities (GOST R 52131 / SP 59 / O'z DSt standards).

For whom

Usage instructions

1. Install the mnemonic map by the entrance door, at eye level (1.3–1.6 m)
2. Choose a well-lit place without shadows
3. Leave free space in front of the panel to read the Braille by touch unobstructed
4. If the building plan changes, order an updated mnemonic map
